Warrington Fire Visit

On the 20th & 21st of February a selection of the Pyrotect team visited Warrington Fire to witness an number of furnace burn tests on various products ranging from batt & mastic to intumescent paint to steel work.

This enabled a number of the more experience members of the team a chance to top up their knowledge, review more bespoke seal scenarios currently being tested and ask more directed questions as well as offering a few of the newer office based staff a greater insight into the industry and how passive fire protection is developed.

On the back of this the Contracts Managers will be dedicating some time over the coming weeks to ensure all members of the administration team visit sites to be able to physically see this being put into action.

Sue Davis, Administrator at Pyrotect who was part of the team visiting said, “Whilst there we were given an over of the full spectrum of services provided by Warrington fire including The FIRAS certification which Pyrotect proudly holds.”

We were observing the testing to cover integrity limit, insulation capability and load bearing capability of specific firestopping products.

Thanks to our Senior Contracts Administrator Lianne for setting up the visit, and to Wiktor Drazkiewicz of Warrington Fire & Will Cotrill of FSI.
